Meet our team

At Abscan, our team of qualified consultants, licensed assessors, and experienced managers combine technical expertise with practical industry knowledge to deliver trusted asbestos, building, and fire compliance services across Queensland.

  • Michael is the Managing Director of Abscan and brings extensive experience across a wide range of technical building audits, including onsite inspections and detailed reporting. He holds a current Asbestos Assessor Licence and a Certificate in Basic Principles in Occupational Hygiene.

    Fully qualified to conduct asbestos audits in commercial buildings, Michael is also trained in asbestos air monitoring and has successfully delivered numerous consultancy and removal projects across the region.

    • CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction

    • Certificate in W201 Basic Principles in Occupational Hygiene (No. 030513/002)

  • Kristy is Abscan’s 2IC and Administration Manager, bringing extensive experience in preparing building reports, including defect and tribunal dispute reports. She works closely with clients and contractors to ensure every project runs smoothly and deadlines are met.

    As the company’s Fire Safety Executive, Kristy also has strong expertise in asbestos consultancy. She stays up to date with legislative requirements, provides guidance on client obligations, and manages quoting and reporting for asbestos inspections. Her skills extend to analysing air filters and preparing samples for both electronic and laboratory analysis.

  • Michael is a Qualified Asbestos Consultant, with extensive experience in building inspections and audits. He is fully trained and competent to carry out and complete asbestos audits for commercial and residential properties.

    Michael is also fully qualified to conduct dilapidation surveys.

  • Amy is Abscan’s Accounts Manager and holds a Certificate III in Business Administration. She works closely with the office administration team, liaising with clients and tenants to coordinate inspections and audits. Amy also has experience preparing a wide range of building inspection reports, including asbestos audits and registers, and dilapidation surveys.
