These regulations were enforced on 1 July 2008 and requires compliance from 1 July 2009. For managing entities such as Body Corporates this includes multi-unit complexes, high rise develoments, and a vast majority of unit blocks. The compliance responsibilities for both the managing entity and tenant are entirely the same saving that the obligations relating to common areas such as driveways, car-parks and common accesses rest with the managing entity, whereas the tenant's obligation relates to the demised lease area.
