Abscan Pty Ltd trading as Abscan Building Consultants was established at Townsville, Queensland in 2002. Steve commenced building inspection services in 1982 while studying for his Bachelor of Architecture at R.M.I.T. in Melbourne. Abscan Building Consultants provide specialist auditing and consulting services for residential and commercial buildings including bodies corporate throughout Northern and Central Queensland. Services have extended from the general public through to solicitors, real estates and engineering firms, construction companies, local government organisations and state-wide corporations. With over 30 years experience in building design, consultancy and inspections, Abscan are more than qualified to provide reliable and expert building consultancy services and advice. Our firm also extends to assisting the Courts, barristers and lawyers with the provision of Expert Witness Reports in building and construction litigation matters. The company's office is located at 59 Bundock Street, Belgian Gardens where all commissions for audits, design, planning, documentation, contract administration, reports and building audits are carried out for local and regional clients. Since its inception Abscan Building Consultants has experienced solid growth and has been a building consultancy model of professionalism, quality and reliability. Our other company – Stevnita Pty Ltd are qualified and insured project managers and asbestos removal contractors with extensive knowledge and understanding to assist with all forms of domestic and commercial asbestos removal works through to building renovation and rectification projects.

Ian Wallace | Architect Ian Wallace is a registered Architect (Qld) No. 1108, Licensed Builder (Open) No. 74668 and a Former Member of the Australia Institute of Project Management. Ian's work history covers many other aspects of the Architectural profession and building industry including project management, which he has had dealt with the past 15-20 years. Previously Ian was employed as a Regional Manager for Project Services. |

Anita Malcolm | Administration Manager Anita's primary role in the company includes accountancy, financial control, credit control, word processing and provides a support role to the Managing Director in areas such as marketing and office management. She has completed a number of commercial courses including management and computerised accounting. |

Steph Bainbridge | Personal Assistant Steph has recently joined the Abscan consultancy team. Her role is primarily to assist the Director with all administration aspects of building auditing, consultancy services, project management and administering tender and contract packages. She is also involved with marketing. |

Ainsley Murdoch | Administration Officer Ainsley's primary role within the company is to coordinate asbestos inspections, reinspections and generate reports together with management of the asbestos database. Her role also includes preparing and managing asbestos tender packages, quotations and liaising with the appropriate contractors/clients, along with cost consultancy services and building reports for bodies corporate. A high level of support is also provided to both the Administration Manager and Managing Director. |

Kristy Beer | Fire Safety Consultant Kristy commenced employment with Abscan in September 2009 to manage and coordinate all aspects of fire safety compliance including quoting and onsite meetings with prospective clients, assisting customer enquiries in understanding Fire Safety Regulations, compiling Fire Safety Compliance Audits and managing the preparation and installation of evacuation diagrams. Her role also involves the marketing of Abscan’s Fire Safety sector. |
